Byotic, as a specialized R&D entity in the healthcare sector, is preparing to integrate into the research ecosystem of Girona and collaborate with the city's future Health Campus. As announced by the Health Counselor, Manel Balcells, this campus, projected to cover a total area of 193,000 square meters, including 43,000 square meters already constructed as part of the Martí i Julià Hospital Park, will be a crucial component in the regional healthcare landscape.
This new campus, alongside Barcelona's new Clínic project, represents one of the most significant initiatives in the healthcare sector within the region, with an estimated investment between 500 and 600 million euros and expected operational readiness by 2030. It is designed as an integrated hub for healthcare delivery, advanced research, and education, featuring facilities for health ciences faculties within a hospital setting.
